Calendar Cards

Today I have been super lazy.  I have enjoyed just sitting on the couch and catching up on some TV.  I feel guilty about just kicking back and doing nothing so I usually have the computer in my lap.  I went ahead and finished up calendar cards for the rest of the school year.  Here is a look at them.  Just click on the pictures to see them in my store.

FREE Calendars~ January thru May

My students use take home folders as a way for me to communicate to their families. I use simple 3 prong folders and place the calendars inside. The calendars either come home with a sticker or a note explaining if there was a problem. Please feel free to use these. Just click on the picture to download them from my store.

Wordless Wednesday~ Christmas Crafts

I am linking up with Christina from Second Grade Sugar and Spice for Wordless Wednesday.

Christmas break is only a day and a half away.  I've been trying my best to keep the children engaged and learning with fun activities.  Here are a few of the crafts that we have made this week.  Can you tell I have difficulty letting them do a craft without throwing in some form of learning?  ;)

It's a little difficult to see what we did with the candy canes but there are numbers 10, 20, etc on each circle.  The students cut out the circles, ordered them by counting by tens and then shaped and glued them into a candy cane.

What kind of Christmas crafts have your students made this year?

Five for Fraturday~ freebie included

I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five for Friday.
On Thursday night we had our annual Kindergarten Thanksgiving Play.  It is always so cute.  Our kids are either a turkey, corn, pilgrim boy/girl or Indian boy/girl.  I didn't take pictures of all of them, but here are a few.

Next week we will practice the word "am" using the following I Am Thankful Thanksgiving reader.
Yesterday, we read Fancy Nancy Our Thanksgiving Banquet.
Our class loved this story.  In the story, Nancy draws a turkey using her hand.  After reading the story, our class made turkeys by tracing our hand.
I went ahead and made a December Calendar to put in my students take home folders.  I use this as a behavior management tool.  Students either get a sticker for the day or sometimes a note home.  You can grab it free in my store by clicking on the picture below.
I just added these to my Thanksgiving Print and Go Unit.
Thank you so much for stopping by!  Have a good weekend!
