Learning is "Beary" Fun!

This week we will be learning about bears and our stations will have a bear theme.  Here is a look at a couple of our literacy stations:

Students will be looking for some of our new words.

Students will look at different pictures on different colored bears and write the first, middle and last sound that they hear and then color the bear on their recording sheet to match.

Here is a few things we will be doing in our math stations:
This is a look at our Greater Than/ Less Than Game.  Students will work with a partner, taking turns choosing a card.  (The cards are all face down).  Whichever child gets more, either more bears or a higher number gets to keep both cards.  They keep playing until all of the cards are gone.  Whoever has the most cards at the end of the game wins!

This is a look at a matching game in which students can work with a partner to match the equation to the picture of tens and ones.

At this station students will look at the number on the bear and then draw that many dots onto the domino and create an addition sentence.

For the Bear Number Race, students will work with a partner taking turns spinning the spinner and then recording the number they land on, onto their recording sheet.  Each student will have their own recording sheet.  If they land on the smiley face they lose their turn.  The partner to get their bear to the tree first, by filling in the missing numbers wins!

I hope everyone has a great week!  For those of you that don't know, I will be getting married this summer~ June 22!  Tomorrow will mark the 5 month countdown! :)
