Five for Friday

I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching to share my 5 highlights from this week.

1. Our class celebrated Earth day this week by cleaning up the playground, planting flowers, hanging up bird feeders, and participating in many fun activities.  You can read about them below.  Here is a look at one of our Earth day craftivities:
The kids wrote about how they can be "tweet" to the earth.  Jordan wrote that he would pick up trash.  I will add this craftivitiy to my store within the next couple of days.

2. Wedding Plans:
The countdown is on...57 more days until I become Mrs. Black!  My mom has not been able to find a dress yet, so I am going shopping with her tomorrow.  Hopefully we will find something!  We are also going to work on buying gifts for the wedding party.  Should be fun!

3. Fun Writing Paper
I created writing paper with lines and a drawing box.  This paper comes in 12 different styles.  When it is writing time, I pass out different styles of the paper.  The kids think it is fun to see paper they will get.  You can see the paper here.

4. Relay for Life
Our school has been raising money that will go to help find a cure for cancer.  As part of the fundraiser, students could bring $1 to buy a balloon to be released in honor/memory of a loved one.  The whole school came together and here is a picture of the balloon release.  The kids really enjoyed it!

5. May Homework
Just 27 more days in this school year!  This will be our last homework calendar of the year.  You can find it here.

Have a great weekend!!
