Five for Friday

I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching to share my five highlights of the week.

Tomorrow is the last day of school.  It is a workday and I only have to work 3 hours!  So... what will I be doing?
PAINTING

I think I paint every year.  I painted my room in PreK and this year when I moved to Kindergarten I spent tons of money and time remodeling the room.  The walls were green and the cabinents were also painted.  So, I painted three walls tan and one wall yellow.  I scrapped, and scrapped, and scrapped the cabinents.  It actually finally all came off!  Then I also painted a beehive on the tile floor.  The last wall that I painted was the 1 yellow wall.  After painting, scrapping, painting, scrapping, I was TIRED of painting.  Not to mention moving everything into a new room, setting up, AND trying to learn new curriculum!  So, what I'm saying is the yellow wall was the last wall, and it just didn't get the time it needed, and it also didn't help that when I ran out of paint the store didn't mix it correctly.
Anyways, here it is:
I know, ugly, ugly, UGLY!!
It is so splotchy and yucky!  It's drove me insane all year.
But I have to admit, it wasn't that noticeable when I had things on the wall... Still, drove me nuts!
Anyways, that's what I'm planning on for tomorrow!
Hopefully it will work out much better this time.

2. Scooter and I have been walking some in the afternoons around home to try to better fit into my wedding dress, since the last time I tried it on it was tiiight.  Here is what we came across:
Yikes!  But at least it was just a black snake!

3.
It's kinda hard to see in this picture, but one of my sweet loves gave me an end of the year present.  A shirt that says, "Congratulations Mrs. Black".  Getting married in 2 weeks, 1 day!!  Pretty sure this was one of the best presents I've ever received!  How thoughtful!  I'm going to miss him.  I had him in PreK and Kinder.

4. Can you tell I love presents?  ;)  This was from Tyce and his little brother, Gavin, who will be in Kindergarten next year.  Maybe he will be in my class.  They worked hard last night to make me a present.

5. I am excited to be out for summer so that I can work on things for next year.  I will be working on new Alphabet Posters, Shape Posters, Number Line, Word Wall, Color Posters, and plenty more.  First up, is the Alphabet Posters.  I will be posting about them soon!

  9. Congrats on your upcoming wedding! I can't believe you get to do all that painting in your room. I don't think we would ever be allowed to do that. Great way to make the room more like you!
