Goldilocks and the Three Bears Crafts and Printables

Goldilocks and the Three Bears is one of my all time favorite stories.  I enjoy using Goldilocks and the Three Bears to teach characters.  After reading the story, each student decides which character is his or her favorite and completes a cut and paste craft.  I have templates for each: Goldilocks, Papa, Mama and Baby.  I always read the story and then write down each student's response of favorite character.  Then I run the templates onto construction paper so they are ready for the next day.  Students cut and glue the craft together and then complete the writing.  It is always fun to see which character each student likes the best and listening to their reasons why.
This Goldilocks packet also comes with printables that are suited for Kindergarten and First Grade.  I will share a few of them.

This is a hot and cold sort.  Students just look at the picture and then complete the sort.
This activity has students listening for the missing middle vowel.
There are also activities to practice sight words.

Lastly, I wanted to share this porridge craft.  I think it is so cute!  I included 2 options.  One of the crafts practices the letter p and there is also a craft to practice the pl blend, for students needing something more challenging.

More Porridge, Please!
