Memorial Day Weekend & a Freebie

Four day weekends are so nice!  Having a long break made me so ready for summer... just 7 more school days!

Here are some pictures from my weekend.

I am getting married June 22, so the bridesmaids and I hit up the Outlets in Georgia.
I bought this sweater and capris.

On Sunday nights, Eric and I go to church.  Then it is usually on to our separate houses because I have lesson plans to work on.  This Sunday was so nice because instead of working on lesson plans I got to relax with these two boys.
We rented Taken 2.  So good!

On Monday, we celebrated Memorial Day by eating at my aunt's house.  I made this banana pudding in a brand new dish that I got from one of our Showers.  The banana pudding turned out so yummy!

And I haven't been able to create much lately because we have been so busy with plans for upcoming Water Day, Kindergarten Graduation, Awards, End of the Year Party, etc... not to mention grades were due today... anyways, here is a freebie if you would like it.  The kids just think of words that can be made using the letters in "Ocean Animals" and then they write them.  Click here to go to the download.
How was your weekend?

Five for Friday

I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching to share my five highlights from this week.

1. Wednesday marked the one month countdown to marrying the love of my life.

2. I only have 8 more school days left!  I am so ready for summer!  I will miss the sweet babies so much!  Every year is hard to see them leave, but this year will probably be the hardest for me because I taught PreK last year, and half of my PreK class moved with me to Kindergarten.  So I've had some of them for 2 years.

3. On Thusday we had Field Day.  I LOVE Field Day.  We play all day!  Here is a look at some of our fun.

We had a lot of water activities.  This is a picture of Brandon after he got off of an inflatable water slide.

This picture was taken during a relay in which the kids filled a cup and then ran to pour the water into a bucket.

This is Lizeth during a race in which they had to try to hold a ball without dropping it as they hopped.

On Field Days we always have a bag lunch and eat in the classroom.  This is Brandon wearing his lunch bag as a hat.  :)

Field Day was SO much fun!  The kids had many different stations they went to that included water relays, water inflatables, a huge water slide, hospital tag, etc.  After all of the stations the kids changed out of their wet clothes and we grabbed our bagged lunch.  We then went back outside to jump on several inflatables.  The remainder of our day included Recess and Just Dance.

4. Our school is set for Summer Reading.  We work with a company that donated 8 "just right" books to each student.  The kids were allowed to choose their own 8 books.  It was so much fun seeing which books the kids chose.  The books were really nice... I think teachers should get 8 also.  ;)

5. Since I am getting married in less than a month, I am going out with my bridesmaids tomorrow.  We are getting up early (yes, on a Saturday), but it's okay because we are going on a shopping trip!

I'm off to enjoy my 4 day weekend!

Summer Bucket List

We have 9 days of school left!  There is so much to get accomplished, and so little time!!

I am linking up with Miss Kindergarten, A Cupcake for the Teacher, and A Modern Teacher to share the things I am looking forward to this summer.

1. The biggest event for me this summer will be marrying this sweet man!
Our wedding is exactly one month from today!  :)

2. Honeymoon
I am looking forward to relaxing!  We are going to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge in Tennessee for a few days after the wedding.  We will be staying at a cabin.

3. Braves Game
Tomorrow is Eric's birthday.  I bought Atlanta Braves tickets that are good to any game this summer.  We just need to decide on a date!

4. Six Flags
Hopefully we will have time this summer to go to Six Flags.  I have not been in forever, and I love amusement parks!  I have one free ticket through my school, so hopefully we can go!

5. Teachery Things
There are many things I want to accomplish this summer in my teaching world.
I really want to change some of the looks in my classroom, such as the word wall, alphabet, etc...
I can always think of something I could work on in my classroom!  :)

What Lives in the Ocean?

Here is a quick look at an emergent reader that we will be making tomorrow.
I created this reader to go along with our Ocean Unit.
It has kids practice writing one of our sight words "live".
The kids have to read the sentence and decide which word, "live" or "lives" fits the sentence the best.
Here is the link to "What Lives in the Ocean" in my store.

Let's Get Acquainted Sunday

I am linking up with Flying into First Grade

for "Let's Get Acquainted Sunday".
Today's topic is to share about 2 bloggy friends.

I love following Julie Lee's blog.

She always has the best and cutest ideas.  If I'm ever in a pinch and do not have time to create things myself, I usually run and grab things from her TPT store to help get me through.  :)

Another bloggy friend that  I love to follow is Kristin.

Her blog is always so fun and entertaining.  :)
I have her Kindergarten Morning Work Packet and it is awesome!  It provides a quick Language Arts and Math review.  I use it as morning work, but it could also be used as homework.

Stop by and check out their blogs!

This Bee Knows 3D!

Everybody loves FREEBIES!  Here's a little something I made since I have been testing for end of the year Report Cards.

The kids review 3D shapes by cutting and gluing them in the correct column.  Then they count and write how many they have of each.

"Ant"sy for Summer!

Are your kids "ant"sy for summer?  I know mine are!  :)  Here is an "Ant"sy for Summer activity we did this week.

Here are a few reasons why we are "ant"sy for summer:

Emma said, "I will play with a beach ball".

Jonathan said "I will get to play with my cat".
Lizeth said, "I get to ride bikes with my brothers".
Cole wrote, "I will play with water balloons".
And Myles wrote, "I want to spend the night at the beach".
I think they turned out so cute!
