Five for Friday~ Zoo-A-Palooza Stations and Printables

I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for her Five for Friday Linky.

Last weekend my husband and I went to Gatlinburg, Tennessee.  Here are a few pictures from our trip.

I have added a few items to my Zoo Unit.

This was a very challenging station.  The children chose a monkey.  Each monkey has a picture.  One of the monkeys has a picture of a snake and the letters "sn_ _ _" .  Students have to fill in the missing chunk on the recording paper.  Since this is a challenging station, there is a word bank that contains the missing chunks at the top of the recording sheet.

This is a no-prep cut and paste activity in which the students simply cut and paste the pictures into the correct columns.

Flamingo Lingo:
This is another cut and paste activity in which the students read the words and then cut and paste the pictures that rhyme.  The pictures I am showing are not matches.

We went over this poem and then I sent the kids to their tables with a copy of the poem and a marker and they circled the sight words that they knew.  After they found all of the sight words I had them read the words to me.
