Five for Friday~ Plus Giveaway!

I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching to share 5 highlights from my week.
How much are you enjoying Krista's 50,000 follower celebration over at TPT's?!?!  I have been so excited!  Have you bought anything?  So far, I have bought these deals:
My son's room is decorated in forest animals.  We are planning on having a forest themed party for his first birthday, so I thought these animals would be perfect for his invitations.  I've had my eye on them forever, and I was so excited when I saw she marked them 50 percent off!
This week, I added some Compound Word puzzles to my store.  There are 20 different puzzles and 2 printables included.  To see more, just click here.
When I was making the Compound Word Puzzles, I could only find puzzle clipart that was square.  I wanted some that was longer on one side.  So, I made these.
I also made these for Easter:
Both sets are $1 each.

I added this Write the Room activity to my store for Easter.
Students find the cards, look at the pictures, unscramble the CVC word and record the word onto the corresponding sheet.
Lastly, The Pencil Grip, Inc. contacted me about doing a review and giveaway of their pencil grips.

If you have not already entered to win a 3 pack of grips, you can do so here.

Hope you all have a Happy Easter!

The Pencil Grip Review and GIVEAWAY

Do your students struggle with their pencil grip?  Hopefully, they have it all figured out by this time of year, but some may still be struggling.

Writing is very important to academic development.  I've noticed a lot of my students that struggle with their pencil grip also have poor handwriting.  An improper grip can not only lead to illegible writing, but can interrupt cognitive flow.  The Pencil Grip, Inc. is helping to correct the problem with their pencil grips.

The Pencil Grip sent me a set of three different grips to try out and review: The Pinch Grip, The Pencil Grip and The Crossover Grip.  They are allowing me to giveaway two sets of each of these... so there will be two winners.  Each winner will receive 1 set of three grips to try.

When The Pencil Grip first contacted me to do the review, I was a little skeptical.  I have tried grips in the past that my students did not like because they were too rigid.

I am really impressed with how comfortable the grips are.
Here is an overview of the grips:
The Pinch Grip:
The Pinch Grip provides proper positioning while enhancing comfort and control.
The Pencil Grip:
The Pencil Grip trains children to use a tripod grasp, and prevents bad habits from forming.
The Crossover Grip:
The Crossover Grip is designed to prevent fingers from crossing over.
I tried the grips out with my Sunday School class and they were really excited when it was time to write.  My students said the grips were so comfortable and I even noticed that their hands didn't get tired as easily.  They also liked the different colors of the grips.
What I love about the grips is the fact that they are very affordable.  If you would like to purchase some for yourself or your class, check them out on Amazon.
Now for the fun part!  If you would like to win a set of 3 Grips enter the Rafflecopter below.  There are several different ways to enter.  Remember, the more times you enter, the better your chances of winning!  Good luck!

Five for Friday~ Freebie included

I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching to share 5 highlights from my week.
If double ear infection had a face:
Is that not just pitiful?  This is Everett's first time being sick.  He had a cold and I took him to the doctor last Friday, and found out that both of his ears were infected as well.  It's been a rough week for him.  But we are thankful that he is getting better and that he made it 8 months before getting sick.
I added a few more pages to my Fractions Fun~ Print and Go.
I added some Write the Room activities to my store.  These activities practice CVC words.  Students look at the pictures, unscramble the CVC words and then record the words onto the corresponding sheet.  The bee center is FREE and can be found by clicking on the picture below.
If you would like more practice with Write the Room and unscrambling CVC words, click on the frog to see my Spring edition:
Click on the bear to see Write the Room using bears, skunks, raccoons and owls.
I added some new clipart for Easter.  It's only $1.
Lastly, I wish I had taken a picture... I don't know why I didn't.  But, Spring cleaning has been in overload at my house.  I am not a hoarder, but I have problems getting rid of clothes.  Even if I have something I haven't worn in years, I always think I may wear it again one day.  Well, the mood struck to clean out and I got rid of 2 and a half bags of clothes this week.  My closet looks sooo much better.  But, what is sad, is that I have bins under my bed that need to be gone through as well.  Have you done any Spring cleaning?  Is it hard for you to get rid of things too??

Five for Friday and a Giveaway

I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching to share 5 highlights from my week.

This week I have been busy adding items to my store.

I added 2 new clipart sets.  They are only $1 each.

I added this Koala Craft and Writing.
I love making crowns and added these for Earth Day and Kindergarten Graduation.
The crowns come in different styles so that students can choose which one he or she would like.  A graph is also included to incorporate learning.
This donut craft is perfect for celebrating Donuts for Dads.  Students can cut and paste the donuts.  Several different writing pages are included.  One says "'Donut' What I Would Do Without You" and the other says "'Donut' You Know I Love You".  These donuts would look great displayed on a classroom door or Bulletin Board to celebrate dads, uncles and grandpas.
Lastly, I am participating in  Lucky to Be a Teacher Giveaway.  You can win 6 Winner's Choice prizes along with 7 specific products.
